Mid-Season Momentum
How Your Support is Powering a New Era at Rivertown Fields
Dear CBC Families,
The 2026 season is officially in full swing, and there is no better time to reflect on the “equation” that defines the premier youth baseball experience in Northeast Florida: Elite Facilities + Expert Coaching = Unmatched Player Development.
Since 2023, the investment from our sponsors and families at Rivertown Fields has allowed us to move beyond the basics, creating a high-performance environment where coaching excellence and facility quality combine to accelerate every player’s growth.
This commitment is fueling a cycle of excellence. To date, we have utilized over $165,000 to enhance the Rivertown experience, focusing specifically on facility improvements and coaching resources. By reinvesting into the program at this scale, we ensure that the value of every player’s time at Rivertown continues to grow—providing outstanding gains on and off the diamond.
We’re proud to be the only travel baseball organization in Northeast Florida that provides direct financial support to help our players attend Cooperstown. This commitment ensures every eligible player has the opportunity to experience this once‑in‑a‑lifetime tournament.
Field & Facility Infrastructure
Our primary focus has been ensuring our home turf is professional-grade and safe.
- Major Upgrades ($106,324+): We’ve completed professional laser grading, installed warning tracks, added CBC windscreens and fence caps, and built out essential storage like our utility shed and dugout cabinets.
- Professional Equipment: Investments include a new turtle, pitchers’ pockets, 4 L-screens, green stance pads, and a fully repaired CBC Gator.
- Field Maintenance ($6,887+): Consistent application of Turface, mound clay, and Endurant Green spray to keep the playing surface elite.
Technology & Performance
We are leveraging modern tools to improve player development and communication:
- Player Development ($5,000+): We have purchased 2 Junior Hack Attack Pitching Machinesfor the 2026 season to elevate our training sessions.
- Digital Presence ($3,017): Ensuring a professional digital home for our teams through domain ownership, licensing, and ongoing website maintenance.
- Connectivity ($2,122): Installation of Starlink to support facility operations.
The Family Experience & Team Support
A great program looks after the families and the “extras” that make memories:
- Concessions ($5,014+): Upgraded our game-day experience with a new Blaze outdoor grill, hot dog roller, and ice machine.
- Tournament Support ($38,945): Funding provided to support our Cooperstown and Slumpbuster teams ahead of launching the Cooperstown concession‑revenue program.
- Coaching ($3,350+): Direct investment in our coaching staff to ensure our players are receiving the best instruction in the region.
Howard Frank Scholarship Fund
Created to honor the life and legacy of Howard Frank, this scholarship fund reflects his belief that every child deserves the chance to play baseball—regardless of financial circumstances. Since its launch in 2024, the fund has provided more than $12,000 in assistance to Creeks Baseball Club families, helping ensure that players who love the game never miss the opportunity to be part of it.
We are proud to carry Howard’s vision forward and invite you to support the fund so his impact continues—one player, one family, one season at a time.
Looking Ahead: Future Upgrades
We aren’t done yet. Our next major milestone is the Covered Cages Capital Project, a $250,000 investment. We have already placed the down payment for this project, which will provide our athletes with a year-round, weather-proof training space that sets CBC apart from any other club in the area. We are currently working with the County on all the necessary permitting and are planning to break ground this summer. Stay tuned for ways you can help bring this exciting new experience to Rivertown.
Our Shared Commitment
Ongoing family involvement is essential. Whether it’s through dues, concessions support, or volunteering, your contribution is the engine behind these upgrades. We are building something truly special for our players, and we thank you for being a vital part of the CBC family.
See you at the fields!
With Gratitude,

Josh Barrs
Creeks Baseball Club Board President
