Coach Barrs approaches player development with the same care he would give his own children. His philosophy centers on building a family atmosphere through fairness, honesty, and a strong work ethic.FAVORITE TEAM
Atlanta BravesHis college roommate was Troy Snitker, son of Brian Snitker.
FAVORITE BASEBALL MEMORY
One of his most meaningful coaching experiences came from a difficult loss in the 13U Perfect Game World Series. His nationally ranked team lost after an infield pop-up fell between two players. Although disappointing, the experience taught the team valuable lessons and helped the players mature.
He considers that group one of the most successful he has coached, both on and off the field.

New York YankeesFAVORITE MEMORY PLAYING OR COACHING
Growing up playing baseball with my father as my coach. He was always there for me in ways that transcended sports. He taught me how to play with confidence while having fun. Looking back, the truck rides home from ball games are what I enjoyed the most. My favorite place to be in the whole world is at the ball field with my family. I look forward to the new memories made each season that hopefully someday they’ll value as much as I have.
