COACHING PHILOSOPHY:
I have 3 goals/jobs as a coach and in this order:
1. Make them better young men.
2. Make them better teammates
3. Make them better baseball players.
• Know and Play Winning Baseball with the intention of progressing to the next level and achieve their goals.
I achieve these goals by expecting every player to follow these rules:
FAVORITE TEAM
I have 2 favorite teams New York Mets / Tampa Bay Rays
1. Respect : your parents, your coaches, your teammates, your officials, your opponents.
2. You will get out what you put in. Give a 100% you will get 100%
3. Baseball intelligence
4. Do the little things correctly and the big things take care of themselves.
5. Sacrifice your goals for the team goals.
FAVORITE MEMORY PLAYING OR COACHING:
2004 coaching an 18U team that won the inaugural Barrett-Fletcher World Series, the championship game was at Tropicana field.
2007 coaching 12U Cooperstown team the whole experience was amazing.
2012 being offered my first HS job, Head Varsity coach at my alma mater Englewood HS.
