WHY DID YOUR FAMILY CHOOSE CBC?
The coaching. If you have a kiddo who has a passion for a sport and wants to be their best, you find the resources. We found those with a coach that encouraged us to visit a camp at CBC and we stayed because it wasn’t just that coach. It was the coaches, the board, the families.. the whole package. The coaches at CBC have a passion for the game of baseball and they know how to teach baseball while coaching at the technical competitive level. They do this while instilling good character and work ethic and building the whole player. It became a family for us. Looking back, those are things that you don’t always appreciate, until the last game of your last season at CBC…
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY OR ASPECT OF CBC OPENING DAY?
Watching the older kids and the younger kids interact. The huddle at the end. The coaches watch each of the players come out and smile. The day itself is hard to explain and is a memory that sticks.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE SEASON AT CBC?
Cooperstown and then 14U because you see their gains and all of the years they have played coming together! I also think it’s worth mentioning my least favorite: 13U… because moving to the big field is hard on the players but hard on the parents, too. It’s a tough year to watch them stumble both physically and mentally. A tough year to learn to let go and let the players learn what their coaches are trying to instill in them as they prepare them for the next level, High School.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MLB TEAM?
I don’t have one favorite team.
